39 - Deep Breaths

Hamilton appeared very excited to become a first-time father.

He was attentive to Maia’s every need and spent a lot of time interacting with her ever-growing belly.

And on even during the full moon, when he transformed into a werewolf, Hamilton rarely left her side.

But others would soon be leaving the household. It was YA birthday time for Shea, Orin, Fluffs, and Rags, as well as Zane.

Everyone take a deep breath, blast those noisemakers and blow out those candles!

Commencement day was another huge event for the Lee family. The weather was still very cold, and everyone could see the graduates’ breaths of relief that they had all graduated with honor!

Apparently, Zander had a hard time believing all his children had become young adults already, and it made him think of having another baby.

Shea, Orin, Fluffs and Rags all moved out together shortly afterwards.  Their SO’s, Brandon, Lily, Zane and Astrid moved in with them as well.  They all planned on going to University before settling down and finalizing their futures.

Next, it was time for Xena, Xanaia, Wiggles and Giggles to have their birthdays.

Maia found herself eating entirely too much leftover cake!

And what goes better with cake than ice cream, especially for someone with pregnancy cravings?!

Ouch!  Indigestion or labor?

Definitely labor!  Breathe, Maia, breathe!

She gave birth to a son. Welcome, Sebastian!

And then she had a daughter. Welcome, Isabelle!

Maia looked around her very crowded nursery.  She hoped Lavender, Aiden, Ashton, and Addison would be ready for their big kid beds very soon!

A couple weeks later, while Maia wasn’t ready for another baby already, she figured it might be a good idea to start looking for her next baby daddy, and decided to go out and scope the locals.

But when she went to tell Hamilton her plans and asked him to watch the kids, he didn't seem too happy about her idea.

“You don’t really need to do that yet, do you?”  He asked her. “I mean, Bas and Belle are still nooboos, and I know you want to be here to take good care of them.  And you’ll have plenty of time to have more babies later, right?”

“You may be right,” Maia said doubtfully, and let out a deep breath. “But I worry...”

Hamilton interrupted her. “Of course I’m right!”  He grinned and grabbed both her hands.  “And don’t worry about anything.  I’ll always be around to watch over you.”

Always.
