31 - Of Bikers and Babies

Although he looked unusual, Seth was not much different than most toddlers.  Maia began teaching him his toddler skills.

It was nice having only one baby to care for after having triplets, but Maia knew she should probably start looking for another baby daddy.   But where should a woman just starting over in a new town look?

Maia decided she needed a little help getting started, and went online to a baby daddy site she’d found from when the triplets were little.  She looked through dozens of profiles until she found a potential daddy she liked, one who also came highly recommended.  His name was Zander Jensen, and he was already a father to other challenge babies.  Maia chatted with him and they agreed to meet.

Until that day arrived, she taught Seth more skills.

Maia also decided to pick up some new skills of her own, and took advantage of the town’s community garden.  While she picked produce, Seth played in the rows with his toy rabbit.

“Don’t let the bunny eat all the veggies, Seth.”

“Nom-nom,” Seth giggled.

After a long morning of gardening, Maia took Seth home and they played. Nothing can stop The Claw!

Just as she put Seth in his playpen, the doorbell rang.

“Hi, are you Maia? I’m Zander Jensen, the potential father you requested from BabyDaddy.com.”

“Uh... hi. Yeah. Your profile never mentioned anything about you being a fairy...”

“Yeah, that’s because it sort of just happened.  I guess that’s what I get for being in biker gang territory in a supernatural town.”

After Maia looked again at his T-shirt, she figured he knew what he was talking about, but...

“Bikers turned you into a fairy??”

“Well, one of the kids was actually riding a broom, but otherwise, yeah.”

“They were children?”

“Yup. See, I’d just gotten into town and was headed here, when all these supernatural kids rode up to me.

“Suddenly, I was surrounded, and the kid who rode the broom chucked this potion at me...

“I saw something out of the corner of my eye and looked back.  I had wings!

“Then all the kids took off after an ice cream truck and I was left there, hovering.

“So, is this fairy thing going to be a problem for you?  I could always change back.”

“No, it’s okay with me if it is with you.”

“Cool!  Cuz look!  I can fly!”

After Zander showed off his new flying abilities, Maia invited him inside.  They spoke for a bit and got to know each other a little.

After a bit of chatting, Seth started crying and Maia went to feed him.  Zander tagged along.

“Awesome room!” Zander exclaimed over the nursery.  “I bet you have lots of cool toys in here.”  While Maia took care of Seth, Zander pulled a robot from the toybox and started playing with it.

Robots can fly, too!

Maia put Seth back in the playpen. Then she approached Zander.

“So... I have a hot tub out back I haven’t tested out yet,” Maia flirted.

“I’m in!”

So Zander and Maia hopped into the hot tub and they cuddled.

And after quick make out session...

Maia hoped she had become pregnant with baby #12.

Then they sat on the swing set and talked for a bit. Maia and Zander agreed that he would stay at her place until they knew for sure she was pregnant.

Then she headed in to check on Seth and get some sleep, while Zander decided to hang out on the playground for a little longer.

But soon, Zander noticed a strange anomaly in the sky.

Suddenly, a spaceship appeared and Zander was sucked up into it with a tractor beam!

Stray cat:  “Take meee-ow to your leader!”

Hours later, Zander was teleported back to Maia’s home.

“I’ve been probed!”

Time passed. While Maia was waiting to find out if she was pregnant, she practiced her witchcraft. 

Zander played with Seth, and they became besties. Zander was great with kids.  Except for maybe biker kids. :P

Seth was also bonding with his IF, Bobo.

One afternoon, Maia announced to Zander that she was pregnant.

Zander was thrilled to feel Maia’s growing tummy.

And maybe it was because he ate more when Maia prepared his favorite meals, or maybe it was a sort of sympathetic pregnancy thing, but Zander experienced an unexpected weight gain and a growing tummy, too.

While they were in the nursery one rainy morning, Maia went into labor.

“Oh! Oh!  I’m going to be a father!” he shouted.

Then Zander grabbed his own belly.

“Arghhh! I’m going to be a mother!”

Maia gave birth to a daughter whom she named Shea.

No sooner had she put Shea in the crib when the contractions started again.

She gave birth to a second child, a son whom she named Orin.

And right afterwards, Zander gave birth, too!

It was another boy!  Zander named him Zane.

All the kids were hungry by now, so it was feeding time.

Zander decided to stay with Maia for awhile and help get the little ones all settled into a routine.

He even held Seth and helped him blow out his candles for his birthday.

The babies all aged up, too.

Shea was a fairy, and had Zander’s hair and Maia’s eyes.

Orin was also a fairy, and got Maia’s hair and Zander’s eyes.

Zane was an alien, but he ended up with wings like Zander, too.  He was a Faylien!

Before it was time for Zander to leave, they took a picture together with all the kids.

As Maia and Zander said goodbye, Zander said, “You know, I was thinking I’d stay here in Moonlight Falls to raise Zane. I think this will be a good place for him to grow up. And that way, we can have birthday parties for Zane and the twins together, and I’ll be able to spend time with them all, and my little buddy Seth, too.”

 Life was good.
